On Thursday May 27 at around 6:30 in the evening my daughter and I were at the Genghis Grill to get a bite to eat. As it was a pleasant evening we decided to eat outside. When we were through the waitress brought the bill and wrote $10.99 on it in ink and told us that was what was owed then she went back inside. My daughter was treating me so she took out $14.00 (the bill plus a $3.00 tip) and went in to find her to give her the money personally so it wouldn't be left outside where anyone could come along and get it. Let me repeat that. My daughter actually made an EFFORT to find the waitress and make sure the bill WAS paid.
As we were leaving a man who I assume was the manager came running out of the restaurant, with our waitress, screaming obscenities at us, calling us thieves, and threatening to call the police! When we crossed back over the street to see what he wanted he continued to scream obscenities and threats in the presence of my DAUGHTER! When I pointed out we paid what we were told was owed he said the total was actually $30.00!
After examining the receipt we decided to pay the difference but even then he continued to verbally abuse both me and my daughter. We had no intention of not paying our bill. In fact because we were outside we could have gotten up and left at any time without them knowing if we wanted to do that. But we didn't. In fact we went looking for them to make SURE the bill was paid. If there was a discrepancy the waitress should have caught it when my daughter gave her the money. But even if she didn't catch it then the manager could have just come out and said something like, "I'm sorry sir but there has been a misunderstanding your actual total is this amount." However he elected to scream obscenities and threats at both me and my daughter instead EVEN as we were paying him the difference of what he said we owed. Needless to say I will NEVER eat there again.
Caught an error on one of my restaurant reviews but cannot edit or delete it. What is with this? Humans make mistakes, decent ones try to correct their errors.
Not pissed, but amused at the number of misspellings here in UTW. As a former elementary teacher in OK, now residing in New England, it makes me sad for the educational system in metro Tulsa. Poor, poor grammar, people. Have some pride!

I'm not angry, but I do have an important correction. You list "Open Jam w/ Rocky Frisco" at the Utopia, but you give the wrong address for the club. Utopia is not in Brookside, it's the old Fur Shop/Plan B building on 3rd Street downtown near Frankfort. This is a regular weekly event and I would greatly appreciate your changing to the correct location.
I'm not pissed off I'm just a designer, artist, musician, web designer and a poet and I like what you guys are doing. Its awesome. I was looking for some tax info when I ran across this list on the OK Tax Commission's website, it's a list of the top 100 delinquencies, there's over a billion dollars listed there, I'm wondering why our state doesn't track these people down and seize everything they own.

I had a blast and charged up a huge balance on my Credit Card. The vacation was called the 80's. Now it's time to pay the card off. So quit blaming everyone else and pay off the damn card.
I'm generally concerned about the future of my country. I grew up in small town America, in the greatest state in that country, and in the greatest country in the World! I couldn't be luckier! The liberal media is so bent on turning the whole world into another communist dictatorship that they've forgotten about how great this country is and used to be without trying to turn it into western europe. All im asking of the people who report for this magazine is remember Oklahoma is an amazing state with proud heritage and proud people, remember your okie values if are even from oklahoma and quit trying to turn us into the coastal states, they are different from us and don't share are traditional down home values! I leave you with this, The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. Sunday Jan 3rd, 3 days before my Birthday, I was supposed to go into work. I had lost my voice due to the New Years Eve cold weather, so I decided to at least go so they wouldn't think I'd be lying over the phone lol. On my way to work, I was stopped by a stupid, chunky cop. I was going 62 (at MOST) on a 60, he wrote me a ticket for 65 on 60. Even THAT is stupid. Who pulls you over for even 5 miles?? I tried to express to give me a break with out a voice, and the bastard wouldn't even TRY to understand me.
So now I'm doing Overtime at work to recover from that. Stupid crazy psycho bitch cop. I hate u.
You’d think in this down economy that local businesses, especially start-ups that statistically fail within the first year, would do everything within their means to keep the customers that they have, happy. That is certainly not the case with Sedona Fitness, a new gym located near 31st and Harvard. I should have taken the hint when they said they would be opening in May but didn’t open until August. But anxious to have a gym nearby, I took a chance even though I had a gym that I was pretty happy with. To date, myself and countless others who have forced ourselves out of bed and showed up grumpy and tired have found ourselves griping amongst ourselves in the parking lot at 6am (when they open) staring at locked doors. The first time, annoying. The second time, really annoying. The third time, shocked. The fourth time, after numerous discussions with management, appalled. The fifth time….priceless. And after finally “resolving” the issue, it happened again yesterday. Shame on me. But now they won’t refund my money because they said the 3 free months – that I had to assertively negotiate hard for – disqualifies the most recent (sixth) incident from being part of a pattern of poor (or no) customer service. Now they won’t refund my money or guarantee that it won’t happen again. It seemed painful for them to apologize, but only because I had to make contact. Shame on Sedona Fitness. Tulsa buyers beware – if you value your time, don’t go here. Sedona Fitness doesn’t value their customers or their time.
I would just like to point out, that "Pink Roc Bar" at 18th and Boston, owes several people a PUBLIC appology. They ran an ad on 106.9 for Tulsa's "first ever burlesque show". HA! Come on now, we all know thats not true. I believe Tulsa's burlesque scene began 7 years ago with the Spiderlillies, and years later hosted a very successful and known group called "Eye Candy Burlesque". Boasting 3 ABOT awards, The Tulsa Hot 100 list 3 years in a row, and countless ,mentions in this and other publications...and even appearing on Ben Sumner! When confronted, they apparently just "threw it together". and were sorry. At least that was the answer only one of several people got. The rest of us were blown off. Anyhow, Come with it pinky.
