I miss the Friend of the Fairgrounds they brought the surgical center, the kids zone and helped make the fair more accessible
It sounds like we don't know the whole story but pushing away friends is generally always a bad idea. Tulsa need more community involvement or poor decisions are made such as these
It is great that horse racing will now continue at Fair Meadows Race Track in Tulsa. Many jobs would have been lost and much income removed from Tulsa County if the race track had been abolished.
For whatever the reasons the Fair Board voted to keep racing in Tulsa it is a great move. Now it is up to the Fair Board to work with the horsemen to make the necessary improvements and promotions to keep racing going and thriving past 2013.
There have been many ideas (tried and proven at other race tracks) already shared with the F.B. to make this happen. We just hope that they will listen and put into motion the ideas that will help keep this economically beneficial race track open.
