The Gas Prices and "Where's the Solutions" to make it through this..? Recently President Obama mentioned how pursuing Electric Autos would be a great alternative to the now gas guzzeling monsters many of us now own. Does he stop and consider how this tranlates to everyone spending even more money to buy transportation..? Not to mention...so What Do We Do with the Cars we now own and in many instances still owe on? Potted plant holders? Flower Pots? In closing, of all the Congress people in Washington and all the other elected officials now in Washington, it comes across as None of Them have a clue as to what to do to help bring back down the ridiculously high gas prices..! Do the Oil Corporations care at all as to the overall affect this is having on familys already struggling to make a go of things? Oh...and one last teenie tid bit here....At the End of this Year...Will Exxon, Sun, Sinclair, and many more "Boast" and "Brag" at how they made a multi Billion Dollar Profit off of all of US...?
For: Ask A Mexican: Hola Dude. Wha's SUP? You know this mess about all the illegals entering into America and how many are over here now without proper paperwork, permissions etc.... It would seem that Mexico has lost it's appeal ! To say the least. Yet when I meet many of the Hipanics now here, so many hold themselves above Americans. ( The "Ways" of most Hipanics seem to be so highly well thought of..to them anyway. ) I think it was on CNN Network sometime ago that an estimated 700,000 illegals crossed the borders in this past year alone. Now it seems we're running out of Vans to hide them in and 1 bedroom apts. to provide proper living quarters for many of them. In my experience, a number of Mexicans inflict "Their Ways" of doing business on Americans now. IF their way of doing business is so "Great" then WHY are so so so many Mexicans getting out of Mexico like there's No Tommorrow? Esplain Dis One Dude...
Personally, I still Like President Obama. In my view he's quite an intelligent man. I think that when he became President, he virtually got in knee deep in a number of "leftovers" from the previous administration. For one, when American went to Iraq originally, in as much as dealing with Sadam Hussein, that aspect of our involvement I deemed as progress and much over due necessity. But staying in Iraq at such an incredible cost....No. People continue to have problems in America with regards to finances and the cost of living. Yet "We" insist on remaining in Iraq. But as "We" continue to "help" their country until it becomes more stablized, in the meantime, Our own Country suffers financially more and more. One example, the Worker's Comp. Funds running out. Families Need that help until a more reliable job and income can replace it's need. As for how much it costs America to continue to stay in Iraq, well, if you knew how much it would be devastating to even begin to comprehend. As for Health Care and Obama's idealology in this situation, I think he has been trying to come up with workable solutions to a very debiltaed system at present. Obviously, there are many who are not "OK" with his efforts in these matters. What does America do? Obama boasted of "Change". But in reality, I don't think anyone has been able to actually take a good honest objective of the many problems facing out Nation and really get Honest, Practical, and bring about workable Solutions that more agree with than object. The latest episodes of Pay Scale for the Administration...now that's a laugh. The kinds of revenue Politicans rake in yearly...whew. Too bad that as a sum total of men and women alegedly working to bring about "Help" to our current probs in our system, I still don't see that many actual Healthy Changes. We've got along way to go America. I wonder, in closing, How would our Nation's Economy be affected IF We were to go ahead and really pull out of the middleeast? And in doing so, focus more on Helping our own here in America...and start allowing the Middleeastern Nations to Work Out their own difficulties. I just wish things would start making sense again.
Iron Man I as it turned out was superb ! New ideas and quite creative in it's overall gestures of scientific breakthru's in technological advancements. Loved it. However, Iron Man II started out great, but in the end was way way over done in just too much "Stuff" going on. Hope they have an Iron Man III tho, perhaps they'll find some way to blend exciting, entertaining, thrills, awesome technology and yet a credible overture of Iron Man does it again...!
I have noticed how the price of gas for this summer has gone back Up..! Aprox. $2.49 for the cheap stuff ( regular ) I was wondering does this translate to Q.T. Stores are planning on building yet another giant building or something to that effect...?? It does seem like WE pay for alot of things inside the price of gasoline. Smart Cars and Nano's.....Gimme one of those lil puppies...!
I finally...that's "finally" got to see "Iron Man" the movie. It took so long for it to make it to the Block Buster Video Store near where I live. Whew..! I must say that this movie was delightful and so well articulated in the special video effects and visual scenes... I can't believe it took so long to make it to Block Buster...!!! Geeze...! Whaddabummer. Oh...and the dude at Block Buster Videos says it won't be until Novemeber or so that "Dark Angel" will be available on DVD. Now that sucks !!!
The "BIG BANG" experiments now going on in Switzerland, Geneva and France. This is a new issue presented very recently by the news media, something I had NO idea was even going on or is currently in progress until a few days ago. It looks terribly exspensive and appears to have many many people working diligently on it as well. After being shown what I've been shown thus far about this incredlible effort of scientists and the like, I find myself seriously asking: Do the Federal Government People who oversee such projects wholeheartedly Approve of this endeavour? Who's going to answer for any harm or distruction that could possibly occur with this project? As Tom Brokaw on television galantly put it: "Do they know what they're doing? I hope so..! "
In closing, does anyone have the right to object to this Big Bang Experimentation or do "WE" all just get to go along for the ride...like it or not ?
Realizing how this Anti Abortion Issue is a No Win Issue in our society, I'm going to offer the following anyway: IF you go to YouTube.com on the internet and type in keywords such as Abortion or Embryo Fertilization Videos....etc..I submit you'll find and actually "See" what does happen as a Sperm impregnates a Human Egg. I really feel that most of the population is poorly educated about these matters in the reality sense of the word. In closing, it seems that too many are so quick to "Judge" a girl when she speaks of unwanted Pregnancy... but How Many people are willing to Help her emotionally and financially throughout her situation of Pregnancy?
Ok you guys...One of Urban Tulsa's Competitors, The Tulsa World came out with a Sunday Edition of photos pertaining to the Eagles Concert and Grand Opening of The Exciting and New BOK Center. Great....well, sort of. The Front Page Photo of the Eagles as one example looked like the World Photographer took the Pic using a Kodak 35mm Instamatic Camera....! Then inside the newspaper...more photos of the BOK scene and all of those photos looked like ummm...maybe they used a Polaroid Land Camera...??? I paid bucks for that edition, but Whew....! Has the Tulsa World ever even heard of the New Digital Camera craze..? I mean....Duh...!
The BOK Center and Ticket Scalping: What is this....?? For month after month, workers have diligently slaved to complete the new addition to downtown Tulsa...alright? Then after so much publicity, and finally coming up with an opening act that everybody loves...The Eagles get the award...! Now that all this and millions and millions of dollars have gone into this landmark for Oklahoma.... "Ticket Scalpers" are now having a hay day...buying up lots of tickets and pricing them at ridiculous high prices...! This seems like quite an Insult to all those people and corporations who have put so much dedicated effort into this new arena. Are there any Laws that Tulsan's can look too that have the ability to pursuade Ticket Scalpers to go somewhere else and wreck people's lives...?? The BOK is already exspensive enough as it is....what can Tulsa do now...??? FANS by the way still should be treated as just that...Fans who enjoy seeing their favorite personalities and music groups...etc..etc. Not "Vampired" finacially simply because some people see this as an opportunity to take very unfair advantages of them.
"WANTED...???" Yeah right. I went to see this new movie with Angelina Jolie at the Eaton Cinema on S. Memorial on the 4th of July. Ok? So I watched the movie and this Angelina's character of a group of assasins. Ok? As the movie progressed I began to notice how pretty Angelina was and how incredibly sexie she was, with her wet lips looking so delicious and wet...as she busily continued to fire her handgun at some dude in a grocery store and then how she gracefully "Curves" her shots to make the bullet go around something or someone and yet still manages to hit the target. Ok? Here I was sitting there virtually "drooling" over Angelina and how really HOT lookin she was and sexie and all the Tat's and stuff like that. Ok? What really distrubs me is this: How can I sit there and go on and on and on about how Pretty Angelina is when all the while she punching some dude in the chops...kicking the crap outta some other dude. Shooting this dude and that dude...and I'm thinkin..."Wow she is so Pretty...!" ...Go figure..!
My concerns here are to do with the article regarding recent Behaviours along Tulsa's Bike Path along Riverside Drive. I have been taking my own 21 speed bicycle down to that path for quite some time as well. Noticing some really drastic but Terrific Changes in the overall look and feel of the bike Path from 11th street to currently about 31st street. They have really been putting alot of hard work into this new bike path.... And.... Pedestrian walk as well. Even inserting great areas in which people can sit for a few moments and rest up or regroup after pedaling a great distance. I've even noticed how those Roller Blade enthusiasts can really get moving along the new pathways. Joggers, Speed Walkers, and just Walkers all enjoying this renovated bike path. It's really Nice...! Now I have noticed how the rebuilders have fenced off more areas of issue to renovate and give a fresh new look too along the areas starting at 41st street and Riverside. I was told by some workers there that eventually they will stretch this new Pathway for many more Miles along the Riverside Parkway in a Southerly direction of Tulsa's Riverside Drive. As for Common Courtesy amongst Cyclists, Walkers, Joggers, Skaters, and the like... I have observed how at times Bikers may get very caught up in conversation or just working diligently pedaling hard to maintain a more constant or constistant speed along the path...and not perhaps paying as much attention to walkers and joggers as they could. But I haven't experienced it as intentional on the Cyclists' part. Over time, it looks like all this much dedicated hard work of the people rebuilding the Path Ways....will bring about a better crowd of enthusiasts and as this happens...perhaps some signs that Read : "Ride Friendly" or to that effect can be added on to the Path Ways. The overall designs and plant life as well as the so much Smoother Path Way is really fantastic to experience..! Now my prob has to do with a topic I wrote to Julie Chin the Woman Meterologist at Channel 2 -KJRH News TV recently....having to do with What causes some of the stronger Winds that can lean on us as Cyclists tooting along the Pathways...??? All I can say is: Practice common Curteousy and use a little Tolerance....but mainly...
Ummmm...are you sure that posting a comment regarding something that upsets us, twerks our nards, disturbs our other wise pleasant day....your dear dear, most beloved "Readers" is Acceptable here..??? In a few of the Urban Tulsa Newspapers I've read quite lengthy "Reviews" about various up and coming or current Motion Pitures. I don't know "Who" this guy or dude is that critiques movies for your newspaper....Ok? But, I must say that his Views in Movies Suck Swamp Water...! For example: the previous movie of The HULK...he body slammed that one intensely..! I went to see it anyway and I really Enjoyed it..! Also, the most recent edition of The HULK, again, I went to see that too. It was a Blast...! I Loved it..! Can this "Critic" there at the Urban Tulsa Newspaper even begin to grasp or ummm...shall we say, reckognize how The HULK is derived from a Comic Book Hero??? .....Like Duh...! Yeah, dude...he's a ficticious character that once was so limitedly dimensional being presented in a paper back comic book....but even tho...a fun and exciting story about a Dr. Banner and the bizzar effects of Gamma Rays. ( Marvel-ous! ) SO to think that NOW in this new age of unlimited creative computer generated, visual effects...Here comes a totally yet inspiring concept of The HULK...! That Kids of all ages can truely get their teeth into..! A remarkable approach in entertainment for all of us to Enjoy..! Meanwhile, this ???????????????????? Movie "Critic" of The Urban Tulsa Newspaper writes all his Blabber-Blah-Blah-Doo-Doo down on paper for us all to read, sounding like He's just One Sandwich Shy of Having a Picnic. Whew....! ( A Rex Reed he ain't...! ) My next motion picture adventure will be......IRON MAN.
Ok Urban Tulsa. I read your most recent issue of Urban Tulsa Newspaper having to do with a small photo of the new BOK Arena. The article or "whatever" it was just below it, went on and on about more Negative comments about this new arena. The person is obvioulsy not an Artist and does not posses any virtual creativity in archetecture. My point is simply this...: I have read so many things about this new place. But can somebody keep it in mind how it was Built here in downtown Tulsa to HELP "T" Town's Economy...! And to HELP Bring more people into this region of the country. Not to mention entertain many many people as they attend the various menus of this nature. After spending an alledged $178,000,000 is it possible that somebody was serious in their designs and archetecture??? Thinking that just perhaps it will turn out OK inspite of all the multitudes of "attitudes" festering up about the place? I hope it works great for Tulsa...! Sincerely, Jerry Hawkins of Tulsa
