Nice, nostalgic-themed diner with decent enough food. Most of the food seems like the heat-n-serve kind but it was still good. I liked their shakes and the music was fun.
The decor is cool even if it is a bit over the top. I liked the fire pit outside and library nook inside. The food was okay and a little underwhelming. I had to send mine back but the manager was very polite, professional and took care of the issue immediately. I'll probably give it another try and certainly go again if others in my party want to go there.
Not sure what the Carp reviewer was talking about because our experience was terrific! The food is some of the best, if not THE BEST barbecue in town. The chopped beef was delicious (and the bun was perfect as it didn't fall apart as you ate it.) I'll be coming back for more. LOVED the music. It wasn't too loud and provided the perfect atmosphere. They had baked beans in a crock pot (seemed reasonable to me) and the really nice guy at the counter said they slow smoke their meat right there in the back kitchen. Delicious food!
This place is amazing. They have the highest quality meats in town and take great pride in what they do. Their butcher counter demonstrates their love of ingredients and, while the prices may be slightly higher than your grocer, the quality is dramatically better.
They have a beautiful new location with a full service restaurant as well. These guys know how to do it right and it shows.
Good selections and I like how you can choose your condiments. I went there just before they were closed and didn't receive the freshest polish dog (they did a quick steam to get it ready) but I'll grade on a curve for that one. I'll try it again sometime during peak hours.
