Madison Faulkner, a senior at Missouri State University studying creative writing, is completing a summer editorial internship at UTW.
Faulkner's interests include writing, a skill which she is constantly developing (you've read some of her stuff in the pages of UTW this summer), reading ("I'm mildly obsessed with the '20s, Fitzgerald and Hemmingway right now," she said), and Music ("I really love sunshine pop and indie pop," Faulkner said. "Everything from Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin to the Misfits.")
Faulkner's dream job includes some type of journalism. "I would really like to do investigative journalism," Faulkner said, "and also music writing."
She also mentioned a now not-so-secret hope: "It might sound boring to some, but textbook editing is appealing to me." Faulkner likes to dig into a text, expunging all errors and fluff. Move over Strunk and White.
