FRIDAY 1.18

It's definitely not a variety show. Except that it is. Except that it isn't. This show is best described as indescribable. The Calamities Present: An Unholy Mess are putting on enough original songs to fill an album and execute it throughout each of the acts of the show. You definitely don't want to miss this show. The antics begin at 8pm. Call 918-633-8666 for tickets or more info.

SATURDAY 1.19

Family Business. Father and son Donald and Barron Ryan team up for a night of some of composer Felix Mendelssohn's most famous works at the Mendelssohn Mashup at the Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra. But it's not all stuffy, 19th century music either. The Ryans will mix in music from Mozart to ragtime to round out an evening of beautiful music starting at 7:30pm. Visit bartlesvillesymphony.org for tickets.

TUESDAY 1.22

Two-Faced. When Jekyll & Hyde opens at the Tulsa PAC, we are forced to confront the dark urges that lurk just beneath the surface in our own lives. Or we could just enjoy a heckuva good show. The lights go down and the horror arises at 7:30pm. Visit myticketoffice.com for tickets.

THURSDAY 1.24

Something Completely Different. Three artists find the balance between graphic design and high art as they present their works at in Processed--Silkscreen prints by Schmickle, Yang, and Live4This at Living Arts Tulsa. They may echo pop culture and mass-market retail, but rest assured this art is 100 percent original. It's definitely well worth a look. Call 918-585-1234 for details.
