Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

The Crusty Croissant, 3629 S. Peoria Ave., 743-2253

Ah, to be in Paris in the summer... to dine at a sidewalk café overlooking the Seine. If you can't make it to Paris, Tulsa's Crusty Croissant serves a variety of French breakfast fare. Start your day with a hearty Quiche Lorraine or Spinach Quiche. French Toast and a waffle with fresh berries are also on the menu. The restaurant offers a variety of crepes, including the Chocolate Banana Crepe and the Strawberry Romanoff Crepe, which is topped with a brandy cream sauce. Choosy diners can create their own omelet, choosing from a variety of meats, vegetables and cheeses. Round out your meal with coffee, tea and juice.

Oscar's Gastropub, 1738 S. Boston, 938-6960

In England, it seems like there's a pub on every corner. While most serve old-fashioned pub fare like ale pie or fish & chips, some "gastropubs" have branched out, and serve high-quality food in a traditional English pub atmosphere. Oscar's Gastropub brings this relaxed fine-dining experience to Tulsa. The pub's seasonal menu is eclectic, featuring both stick-to-your-ribs traditional fare like Smoke-Roasted Barbecue Chicken and Hanger Steak, as well as more unusual items like Chorizo Won-Tons and Fried Green Beans. The pub has 22 beers on tap and a menu of 30 wines.

Il Vecchio, 12308 E. 86 St. N., Owasso., 274-8445

Italy is a land of romance, history, art and, most importantly, great food. Il Vecchio brings a little bit of Italy to Owasso in a laid-back and friendly atmosphere. Start with Bruschetta or Garlic Bread, and complete your meal with one of the restaurant's hearty entrees, such as Shrimp Lasagna. The menu boasts a variety of paninis and a versatile build-your-own pasta offering. Pair your choice of pasta with one of Il Vecchio's unusual sauces, such as Creamy Parmesan or Green Chili Alfredo. Top off your meal with cheesecake or Tiramisu.
