War on the Home Front. Whether you bleed orange or claim to be Sooner born and bred, pull all the rival family and friends together to watch a heated battle on the field, Bedlam 2010. Mic Check. Nothing goes better with lots of alcohol and a microphone than fearless idiots willing to belt out their best Poker Face in front of a room full of strangers. Come out to Club 209, 209 N. Boulder Ave., to watch or partake in a night of karaoke. Thoughtfully referred to as Sound of Music Sunday, karaoke kicks off at 9pm with no cover. Festive Foliage. Mosey through Philbrook Museum's Mabee Lobby, 2727 S. Rockford Rd., and check out The Festival of Trees. Covered in traditional and inventively eccentric trees, Philbrook relies on the festival as a fundraiser to help support the museum during the year. So grab a friend or make sure the kiddos are in tow and skip through the season inspired hall of artfully decorated trees. Afterward, stroll through the museum's gardens and take in the beautiful outdoor lights. The Festival of Trees ends Dec. 12. This unique showing of trees and lights is available from 10am to 6pm. Red Ribbon's Cause. For the first day of the last month in 2010, show up at Langston University-Tulsa, 914 N. Greenwood, in support of World AIDS Day. This year's awareness campaign, "Light for Rights," kicks off with a Tulsa CARES reception at 5pm. Bringing awareness to the need of HIV and AIDS related treatment and prevention services, the AIDS Coalition Candlelight Service brightens the campus at 6:30pm.
