Good Fellow. SMG congratulates John Bolton, General Manager of the BOK Center and Tulsa Convention Center, on his nomination for 2nd Vice Chair of the International Association of Venue Managers Board of Directors.

This prestigious honor denotes exemplary leadership and dedication to the Sport, Entertainment, and Convention/Exhibition Industry. In this role, Mr. Bolton will become a Senior Officer of the organization, a four-year term, ascending to the Chairman position in 2013-14.

Mr. Bolton is the General Manager of the SMG Tulsa/BOK Center and Tulsa Convention Center and has served in this position since 2007. He has been in the industry since 1986, and joined SMG in 2003 as the General Manager of five venues in Evansville, Ind.

Big Bang. Wanenmacher's Tulsa Arms show will be held April 2-3 at the QuikTrip Center of Expo Square, 4145 E. 21st St. The world's largest firearms show will fill the eleven acre building with more than 4,100 exhibits of very fine antique and modern firearms, knives, swords and accessories, on display and for sale.

General interest exhibits will include western and wildlife art, bronze work and jewelry. Several collectors' organizations will be present with outstanding exhibits and items to sell. The Browning Collectors and Smith and Wesson Collectors will be featured guests.

This show is now international in scope, both in terms of exhibitors and spectators. NRA television will be filming a segment of Gun Values throughout most of the show hours. It will be a rare opportunity to see featured unusual guns. The public is urged to bring their firearms, swords and knives for free appraisal or to sell or trade.
