Neighboring Wellness. The Oklahoma Public Health Association (OPHA) recently honored The State Chamber of Oklahoma for its contributions toward achievement in public health activities and issues. At its annual conference, OPHA presented its "Special Business Award for Excellence in Public Health" to The State Chamber representatives Matt Robison, who serves as Vice President for Small Business and Workforce Development, and Laura Wheeler, Website Manager and Designer.
For several years, The State Chamber of Oklahoma has been one of the sponsors of the Oklahoma Certified Healthy Business program, which recognizes those businesses that are working to improve Oklahoma's health status by providing health and wellness opportunities for their employees.
Continuing On. Founded by Paul Moore, aka the "Bohemian King," Lifestyle Boutique has been Tulsa's Mecca for chic, eclectic, global fashion and collectibles for 39 years. Before opening Lifestyle Boutique in 1972, Moore was the proprietor of The Tea Room in Miss Jackson's and Bon Appetite on Brookside.
A vanguard entrepreneur, Moore's hip, offbeat style enriched Tulsa's trendy midtown and Brookside districts. Moore died in February, though his Bohemian spirit lives on.
Bonnie and Randy Williams, who've operated Lifestyle Salon for the last 20 years, are the new owners of Lifestyle Boutique. Building on the Williams' long-standing relationship with Moore and their uncompromising dedication to Lifestyle's soulful integrity, the couple will continue to bring patrons enduring Lifestyle favorites along with new collections of beautiful, vintage-inspired clothing and jewelry and uniquely detailed contemporary lines, local art, books, distinctive home accessories and more.

Elegant Entry. La Madeleine Country French Café is coming to Cherry Street and is planning to open its new location on the northwest corner of 15th St. and St. Louis Ave. This will be the first Oklahoma location for the major chain restaurant.
The planned space is now occupied by three local businesses consisting of 3,750 square feet. La Madeleine Country French Café plans to open before Thanksgiving.
Shopping Spree. Rue21, one of the fastest growing specialty retailers, has announced the grand opening of its new store at Tulsa Promenade Mall.
The store features a broad assortment of the newest emerging fashion trends in apparel and accessories for girls and guys. The teen fashion retailer operates over 670 stores in 44 states with an aggressive expansion plan to open 100 stores annually.
