Take the Leap. Tulsa families will be able to test the sky's limit with the opening of Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park. Suitable for just about any age, shape or size, Sky Zone is the place for adults to rekindle their childhood while teens and kids can revel in theirs by jumping on a giant sea of trampolines.
Sky Zone, the creator of the world's first all-trampoline walled playing court, is the ultimate 3-D play experience. Filled with wall-to-wall trampolines, it provides a brand new way to move and sets the stage for a variety of activities such as 3-D Dodgeball and SkyRobics -- an invigorating and fun, yet highly effective, fitness class that can burn up to 1,000 calories in an hour.
Participants can also partake in Open Jump where they can bounce for fun, freestyle their latest moves or jump into a giant foam pit. For more information on Sky Zone, including class and event details, please visit skyzonesports.com.
Two Thumbs Up. KJRH-TV 2NEWS has been recognized once again for its news and weather broadcasting excellence by industry peers at the Oklahoma Professional Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ). 2NEWS won more awards than any other local green country TV news station and was the only local station to win awards for Best Newscast, Best Weather Reporting, and Election Reporting.
The Oklahoma Professional Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists recognized the state's top journalists at its annual awards banquet on April 30 at the Hilton Southern Hills in Tulsa. Journalists from two out-of-state SPJ chapters judged the contest's more than 1,200 entries. The awards are an annual statewide contest for television, radio, online and print journalists as well as public relations professionals judged by industry peers.
