Thursday 10.13

Streets of Gold. Catch the show stopping performance of The Wizard of Oz as the Clark Youth's first production of the season. Have a singing good time while hearing Dorothy and the rest of the cast belt it out at the Henthorne PAC at 4825 S. Friday 10.14

High School Drama. See the Broadway musical 13 as it makes its debut in Tulsa. Performances will be held at VanTrease PACE, 10800 E. 81st St. See talented teens from the Tulsa area act out this laugh-out-loud comedy which is sure to have the audience in stitches. Saturday 10.15

Pep in Pup's Step. Bring your four legged friends to the eleventh year of Paws in the Park. This family- friendly event benefits the Humane Society of Tulsa and all of their creatures. Wag your tails through pet-friendly booths, pet fall photo sessions and paint sessions with your dogs. Participants are encouraged to have their friends and families sponsor their walk and donate to the Tulsa Humane Society. The lucky dog who has the most pledges will be crowned 2012 "Alpha Dog". Beats and Bass. Feel the music on Tulsa's Main Street as up and coming artist Chip Tha Ripper performs at Tulsa's Historic Cain's Ballroom, 423 N. Masters of the Brush. Join Rubens, Rembrandt, Gainsborough and many other master artists at Philbrook Museum of Art, 2727 S. Rockford Rd., for an amazing look at over seventy paintings. Magnificent Vision is an exhibition of two centuries of European masterworks from the Speed Art Museum. The exhibit is on display through Jan. 8, 2012. Wednesday 10.19

Williamsburg Native. Jolt down to Tulsa's equality center and witness new works by one of Tulsa's most inspiring artists. The October Oklahomans for Equality showcase and exhibit at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center, 621 E. 4th St., spotlight works by Jill Leslye. You may have seen this Tulsa transplant around town with her head buried in her easel. This remarkable artist paints what she sees, having been in Tulsa for some time now, several of her works contain many beloved iconic Tulsa views. Thursday 10.20

Beer and Bratwurst . Stop by the kiosk, grab yourself some tickets, and join in at the River West Festival Park, 2100 S. Jackson Ave., for Tulsa's 2011 Oktoberfest. When the temperature starts to drop, Tulsans know what it means. Yes, it is that time of the year again -- time for a beer guzzling, chicken dancing German good time. Come hear live music, from traditional German classics, to local bands. Enjoy contests and art while sampling one of the numerous kinds of beers and food the festival has to offer Oct. 20-23.
