Boycott the BCS

"We'll see" means no. "Things happen for a reason" is something you tell people who get crapped on by life. "Sometimes life is not fair" usually comes from a parent tired of breaking down life to a kid.

You have heard these saying a thousand times in life and probably used them the same. The next one can be officially retired.

"The BCS usually gets it right" will never be uttered again by anyone outside Tuscaloosa.

This is the Grinch stealing the Who's Christmas tree. This is the fat cats ignoring the public. If Occupiers wanted to make a difference, they would march on the BCS.

As someone who has defended the Bowl Championship Series selection process in the past, my apologies. The system remains better than no system in the same vein a glass of urine appeals to a dehydrated desert dweller.

The only acceptable rematch in a title game should be if every other possible contender had two losses. This, of course, is not the case.

Oklahoma State's résumé is equal if not superior to Alabama's. The OSU Athletic Department blasted a solid case at midnight following the dismantling of OU.

A few voters watched the game and did the right thing. The gap between No. 2 Alabama and No. 3 Oklahoma State closed. How some of the voters failed to bump the Big 12 Champions ahead of the non-conference, non-division winner such as the Tide remains a mystery.

Head Coach Mike Gundy failed to politick a week ago. However, he was on point in his postgame press conference.

"I want to clarify myself that Oklahoma State hadn't earned the right to talk about a game past the conference championship game, because we hadn't won a conference championship."

Good point coach and nice subtle dig at Nick Saban, a master politician.

"Our staff, including myself, talked to our football team every day about winning a conference championship. After what they accomplished tonight and the way they did it against the No. 10 team in the country, I don't think there's any question they deserve an opportunity to play for it all."

Every media member with any forum reminds us each and every year that the BCS is simply the system we are given. We, the fans, are powerless to force change.

The main argument against a playoff system in college football is money. It is not the student-athlete angle which universities sometimes flaunt. It boils down to money.

The BCS makes tons of money so therefore why change the system.

Complaining about the BCS does nothing except make them richer. We are feeding the dog. We comment on articles. We call in sports radio shows. We post angry rants on Facebook and tweet 'til the world knows we're mad. We talk about it and subconsciously make it more powerful.

None of those things can compel change. Hitting the BCS Bowl, universities and powers-that-be in the pockets is the only logical solution.

Oklahoma State fans should lead the charge. To be more precise, T. Boone Pickens should be the front man. Every BCS school should follow suit.

Do not buy tickets to the game. Do not book flights, hotels or rental cars.

Stick it to every single BCS Bowl and send the message loud and proud.

College football fans need to band together and turn the channel come January bowl season.

There are plenty of options available for your football fix. The NFL playoffs will be underway. A plethora of exciting non-BCS Bowl games will be shown. Tune in to something else.

ESPN, the puppet masters behind the constant propaganda, thinks the nation is divided on the rematch. No, actually, just in your fishbowl.

Bama fans are excited. LSU fans are indifferent. The rest of America will be watching "Murder She Wrote" reruns or clipping toenails.

A nation divided means someone somewhere would have seen or heard one, just one average college football fan clamoring for a rematch. Instead it was a public begging to give someone else, anyone else a chance.

Some Einstein will say it is the computers fault. Unless a Mac was replaced with a Commodore 64 the argument is empty. Voters need to reveal their votes and be held accountable.

"They had their shot," Gundy said. "Give us ours."

Get Him to the Greek did not quite win the Best Picture of the Year award last year. But it offers insight into what the BCS and ESPN are doing to us. They are P. Diddying us. For reference rewatch the exchange between Sean Combs' character and Jonah Hill's character before Hill takes off to get Aldous Snow (Russell Brand). Think mind-"messing."

Check out this quote from ESPN.com columnist Ivan Maisel. He's one of the college football mouthpieces for the mother ship. "If you believe in the BCS system, not to mention your own eyes, LSU and Alabama really are the two best teams in college football."

It is all conjecture. He has no proof unless he viewed every Alabama and Oklahoma State game in full and without bias. He thinks SEC fans are rejoicing? He should leave Saban's house.

He is trying to P. Diddy us. Don't let him do it. Believe what you see, not what he thinks he sees.

But will America take it on the chin or will they stand and boycott the BCS?
