Bonus Tracks

Another week has passed and it feels like spring is near. If you're getting stir crazy, there's no good reason not to go out this weekend, since we've got some great music on hand. As always, we've got a few highlights to get you started off in the right direction.

Thursday, Feb. 23

Lotus lands at Cain's Ballroom with Montu opening for the jam-band crowd while Todd Clouser's A Love Electric returns to Soundpony as one of the most engaging acts the club has hosted in recent months. The real highlight off the night, however, promises to be Dirty River Boys at Mercury Lounge.

Friday, Feb. 24

Brandon Jenkins raises the stakes even higher at Mercury Lounge when the Sand Springs native returns for a hometown show that's sure to be packed out, so you'll want to arrive early. Across the street, Ishi returns to Tulsa for a show at Treehouse. Meanwhile, The Moai Broadcast settles in at The Colony for a great night of grooves and dancing.

Saturday, Feb. 25

Start out your evening right with an acoustic set by rising act New Morning at Agora Coffeehouse before heading out for the late night scene. Elsewhere, Mary Cogan plays Blue Rose Café while Sam & the Stylees play Mercury Lounge and Dante & the Hawks bring some great pop/rock to The Hunt Club. And if you're an 80's child, you won't miss Rick Springfield at River Spirit Events Center.

The rest of the week is fairly quiet, but you don't want to overlook Roger Hodgson (of Supertramp) at The Joint on Tuesday, February 28.
