Vote For Education

Dear UTW:

On Tuesday, June 26th, Oklahomans will head to the polls for a Primary Election. Included in this Primary Election are all 101 seats in the Oklahoma House of Representatives and 24 seats in the Oklahoma State Senate.

Now is the time for us to make a difference in the funding of education. Call the candidates from your district. Ask them "Will you support placing new money for common education through the school funding formula unearmarked, or earmarked for teacher allocations?" Tell them you support candidates who support funding education adequately. Tell them 49th is NOT OK when it comes to funding education.

The time has come for us to remove those from office who do not support education funding. The time has come for us to elect those who do support education funding.

VOTE on Tuesday, June 26. Our children's future leans on the decisions of our elected officials. We have the power to elect these officials. We must be educated about our candidates AND we MUST show up at the polls.

A Deal For You

(Re: "Homelessness Interrupted," June 14-20, vol. 21, no. 51)

Dear UTW:

The residents of the YMCA were moved so the people, who have no business running a hospital, could profit from the YMCA building ... Perhaps the most absurd statement ... "property values have gone up ... I got an appraisal, post bubble on two adjacent properties. ...

I will sell this week at the appraisals and since your weekly periodocal has stated this as a fact. ... You will easily profit. Based upon the info in the article ...

I would be a fool to sell at that low 2008 appraisal and you would be a fool not to buy ... I will sell right now at the high appraisal for the home and the appraisal for the property.

9.7 million ? to build 76 apartments with fire wood? ...

About 4 million too much ...

Geo Thermal uses power and after a while the earth around the pipes carrying liquid poison tends to warm.

Prove the story. Buy my property(s) and turn a profit ...

Successful Interruption

(Re: "Homelessness Interrupted," June 14-20, vol. 21, no. 51)

Dear UTW:

I read your article on Homelessness Interrupted and really enjoyed it. I was homeless and on the streets off and on for 5 years in Okla. City and Tulsa areas and Houston and El Paso and San Antonio and Corpus Cristi.

I use to run around 3rd and 5th Ward's in H-town and life on the streets is rough. I had a prison attitude and mentality of you don't mess with me and I won't bother you. Been a clepto for 25 years off and on and in and out of jail and D.O.C and B.O.P off and on since 1994. B.O.P is Federal Prison. Being in a GBC gang as a teenager and in and out of the Juvenile System as a teenager. You tend to get a cold heart towards society and people in general.

You loose respect for the law and law enforcement. I have been on the run as long as 12 years on a outstanding warrents and was a expert at avoiding the law when I had to. I enjoyed stealing from stores at the time. I have stole from and frauded every retail store under the sun and have done it in 5 different states.

That was my life and I was a pro at what I did. I have had the Secret Service and United States Marshall's and local law enforcement and Loss Prevention after me all at once one point in my life. Now I am doing what God has called me to do and that is show the love of Christ to homeless people and be their for them and just love them.

One time I took a homeless person named Dewayne that has been homeless in Tulsa for over 30 years and me and Paul gave him a haircut and new shoes from Wal-Mart. When I was homeless, no one ever gave me anything, no money, nothing. I don't drink and do drugs, never have. I am a hard worker and have good moral's by my adoptive parents David and Vickie Weaver. I was raised on a farm and in a good home from age 3 to 18. I didn't have to worry about food or shelter or clothes growing up.

We had 800 acres and raised 100 head of cattle and wheat.I use to drive the John Deere tractor all the time growing up and work cattle and buck haybells at 75 to 100 lbs a piece and fix fence and work on combines! and tractor's all day.

My parents love me and care about me dearly. I just burnt some bridges I shouldnt have and cause them to not trust in me. God is restoring my family and kid's as we speak. After 7 years of not seeing them I got to see them on my birthday this year.Praise God! I am a witness that if we put our life into God's hand's 100%. He will deliver! Like He delivered me off the streets in a house and I got a job and will be going to Tulsa Tech in August 2012. Sorry so long, but I hope I blessed you guys and gave people that hear my message that there is hope and you can get off the streets with God. Cause I have.
