Tulsa Camerata pairs with Portico Dans Theatre for A Midsummer Night's Dream, a unique re-imagining of Shakespeare's masterpiece. Modern dance, live and recorded music, and the great outdoors, as this is an evening at the Guthrie Green. Oh, and TC, a chamber orchestra, will be playing a Velvet Underground song, as well. Awesome. Friday and Saturday at 8pm. Free.
Nice Coconuts. Treat yourself to a taste of island life at the Luau at the Vault. Enjoy dancing luau girls, limbo contests, fire spinning, roast pig, and you get to drink tiki cocktails out of coconuts at the downtown restaurnt. I had you at "dancing luau girls," but drinking out of coconuts was just icing on the cake. 7pm-2am.

Two Snaps Up. The gayest fun you can have with your clothes on comes back to town. The Tulsa Pride Block Party & Parade is upon us. The Saturday parade starts at 5pm and winds through downtown, ending up at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center, 621 E. 4th St. Then the block party begins. Enjoy the family picnic in Centennial Park on Sunday from noon to 5pm. Look, everyone will eventually have been picketed by those Westboro asshats. Just go ahead and get it out of the way.

Gatsby In Person. The history-comes-alive nature of Oklahoma Chautauqua makes its annual summer appearance this week. This year's theme is The Roaring Twenties, featuring scholars performing as Will Rogers, Babe Ruth, Zelda Fitzgerald, and other figures from the era. This is a fascinating way to learn about history. Oklahoma Chautauqua opens Tuesday, June 4 and runs through Saturday at OSU-Tulsa. Go listen to how smart and cool and funny Will Rogers actually was.

Motorcycle Gang With a Heart.
Bikers bike to raise money for Make-A-Wish in the Brookside Rumble and Roll motorcycle rally and street party. After gathering at the University of Tulsa's Reynolds Center parking lot, the engines rev. The rally begins at 7pm and takes riders down to Brookside, where a street party and live music awaits.
