Bring the rugrats to the Guthrie Green and let them wear themselves out at We Built This City, a giant construction zone for your younglings to play and build and imagine in. You know how you give them an awesome toy on Christmas, and then they just play with the box? This is kind of like a giant collection of the boxes. Folky Fun. For a month, the Blue Dome Music Series has been giving Tulsans live music on Friday nights at Dwelling Spaces, hosting Oilhouse among others. Tonight, the series wraps with Bandelier, the band with the best-looking violist you've ever seen. Join Jake Dodson and his schoolmates for a night of sweet tunes. The music kicks off at 7p.
If You Can Dodge a Wrench...Six-man teams face off to bean each other and try to win money for charities at the Dodgebrawl Challenge 2013 at the BOK Center. The first ball gets thrown out (or rather, at someone) at 11am. Feel free to field a team, but Urban Tulsa Weekly is coming, and we're totally going to win.
The Bombs Bursting in Air. The fun starts at 6pm, but the rockets' red glare at Rockets Over Rhema until after dark at Rhema Bible Church. One of the largest fireworks displays in town, the night will feature all manner of activities, music, patriotism, and blowing stuff up for the Lord and America. And it's free.
