We went to Chop House BBQ and have order several deferent sandwich the chopped beef and pulled pork are our favorites. We are return customers. We have no problem with the heat, or the guys behind the counter. They are also blues musicians too. It makes the atmosphere of the place, they always ask if the food is okay and if you want something deferent. My father likes a very hot BBQ sauce and they made one special for him, they called it attomic. I hope they stay in bussines for a long time. Great food, with a great atmosphere. I agree with comments ILuvTulsa and TulsaDude. Hometown girl

Not sure what the Carp reviewer was talking about because our experience was terrific! The food is some of the best, if not THE BEST barbecue in town. The chopped beef was delicious (and the bun was perfect as it didn't fall apart as you ate it.) I'll be coming back for more. LOVED the music. It wasn't too loud and provided the perfect atmosphere. They had baked beans in a crock pot (seemed reasonable to me) and the really nice guy at the counter said they slow smoke their meat right there in the back kitchen. Delicious food!

The fries were wonderful. I had a chopped sandwich and my husband had ribs with Cole slaw. The BBQ was okay, but there was a lot of things going on that turned me off. I hope m suggestions can help, and not harm the business. I walked in and it was freezing. Obviously there was no heat. Next I noticed the loud music. The caucasian man working the cash register does not know how to use it. His order taking skills are annoying. Rather than looking at you he is searching thru menus and keys trying to enter the order, then he does it wrong. Next! The most unappetizing. The set up. They cut the meat and prepare the plates right behind the cash register. The meat is kept in a crock pot, and it just gives one the idea that it isn't fresh, or warm. It just looks bad. Some bigger BBQ chains cut in front of view, but it's much showier, with steam racks and big ovens. This just looked home made. 1. turn the heat up. 2. Turn the music down. 3. Get the white guy a or get him a ticket to write the order on. Stop yelling out the order. Learn the register. 4. Move your order prepare to the kitchen. Ohhhh one more. The bread that you picked for sandwiches is too overwhelming taste wise ans to dry for your BBQ. Plain burger buns, no seeds would be better. Better yet 3 or 4 slices of white bread covered by the meat. Then the customer can sauce it and eat en faced, or make a sandwich .

We went to Chop House BBQ a couple of weeks ago and we were so pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is kind of cool with blues music pumping throughout the joint. Classic black and white photographs of blues musicians are displayed like a gallery paying tribute to the world of blues. We spent some time trying to name the musicians only to learn later on a local photographer created images using the owners, family and friends. Sure had us fooled, as the photographs are beautiful. We stepped up to the counter (laid out with lovely brown glass tiles) and ordered from the large overhead menu. Plenty of choices. We had a chopped beef sandwich with fries, a combo meal with brisket and pulled pork and something they call a spicy cheese sausage sandwich. Man, they do barbecue right. Smokey flavor, using hickory wood and they have three bbq sauces at the table to choose from. The meats were smokey, moist and tender, while the spicy cheese sausage lived up to its name. As the manager said, it had a nice kick even though the mild cheese inside toned it down a little. It was unique and delicious. The barbecue sauces are all homemade and they offer two mild (Sweet and Woody - a hickory infused sauce) and a Tearjerker (hot.) We all had our favorites, mine being the good barbecue taste of the woody sauce. There are plenty of sides to choose from but the french fries are out of this world! They are hand cut fresh fries and they taste like it. Probably worth a trip back just for those. The barbecue beans were rich and full of barbecue flavor, just the way I like it. My wife had the potato salad and said it was one of the best she's ever had. Mustard based, whatever that means. We kicked back to enjoy the delicious food while listening to a variety of blues music, most of which we never heard before but kept us tapping our toes. Chop House BBQ is a fun place with great food. A nice surprise indeed!
