Believing in Fairy Tales. With characters such as King Melancholy and Queen Mania, ruling the Land of Bipolar, Hope Wears Sturdy Shoes is sure to liven up your Thursday night. In this "modern-day adult farytale," each character has to learn to overcome the difficulties of daily life with dignity, and brings the audience along on the journey. Performed at the Tulsa PAC, 110 E. 2nd St., beginning at 8pm.

Experience the interactive installation Water Ballet, designed and directed by local artist Erin Turner. Including paintings, sculptures, dance (by Tulsa Modern Movement and Megan McKown Miller), installations, video projections, music and more, this sensory display/performance at Living Arts of Tulsa, 307 E. Brady St., begins at 9pm, with an opening reception from 6-9pm.

Home Making on the Range. What else would you call an event involving use of the words "grass" and "chili," both in liberal helpings? The Bluegrass & Chili Festival of course! Rife with good food and a down-home sound, this event features three stages for musicians and boasts the Mid-American Regional Chili Cook-Off, in addition to an open car show and activities for the kids. Located at the Claremore Expo Center, 400 Veterans Parkway in Claremore, this event is free and open to all.

Go Green. This weekend, the Brady District's new Guthrie Green is officially opened with three days of events. The Tulsa Symphony headline the festivities Sunday night with Symphony in the Park, an hour-long concert featuring Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture (with fireworks of course) and a pre-concert by the Tulsa Youth Symphony at 6pm.

Buck the System. Mondays can be a drag. The end of the weekend, the beginning of the 9 to 5 grind. So much for fun. But not this week. Exchange your suit for a pair of Levi's and get on out to the BOK Center, 200 S Denver Ave., for the PBR Built Ford Tough Series, featuring the top 35 bull riders in the world. With lots of local boys featured, this treat is worth the trip, with tickets ranging anywhere from $12-$102.

No Bones About It. Find some time this week and tickle your funny bone with Laughing Matter Improv. One of Tulsa's oldest troupes of the guffaw-purveying sort, this group has been a staple of the local laugh scene since the 1980s. Off-the-cuff hilarity will ensue at Henthorne Performing Arts Center, 4825 S. Quaker Ave., with the performance beginning at 6pm.

Por Amor a la Danza. Break out of your box and attend a dance workshop at Casa Tango. Located at 4176 S. Birmingham Place, and hosted by the Tulsa Latin Dancers, this event lasts from 8 to 11pm. The first several hours will feature "practica" or "practice," with the remaining hour featured on performance technique. Bilingual capabilities are not required -- a love of dance and a willingness to learn are all you need.

Food For Thought. Take some time out this week to become aware of the problem of hunger -- and help fight it -- by participating in Restaurant Week. The event features a variety of restaurants in both Tulsa and the surrounding area offering fixed price lunch and dinners, with 10 percent of the proceeds of each meal being used by The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma to help fight hunger.
