Don't Drink the Water. It was only a matter of time before someone made a movie about the pollution caused to our water supplies from the chicken industry. Former state representative Don McCorkell's film Shall We Gather At the River explores the replacement of family farms with corporate livestock operations and the effects these massive "cities of animals" have on the environment. New Comers. We at UTW are always excited when a new gallery opens in town. You can experience the opening show for The Left Field Project, 819 E. 3rd St., tonight at 7pm. This gallery is the result of many talented young artists working together. The opening exhibition is entitled "Phantom Limb" and is the culmination of 15 years of work from one of the gallery's cofounders, Duane Fernandez. A Cultural Affair. It's quite a drive to New Delhi from Tulsa. Luckily for us, India Fest, today at the Expo Square Central Park Hall, 4145 E. 21st St., brings the sights, sounds and smell of the Indian sub-continent to Tulsa. Dare to try something new (and possibly spicy) from Indian cuisine. Listen to the traditional music and see the colorful dances the Indian culture has to offer. FREEDOOOMMM! It is that time of year again. The Oklahoma Scottish Festival will be in high gear today with performances from Flowers of Edinburgh, Celtic Cheer, NeedFire, Wicked Tinkers and Cairde na Gael. In addition to the music, there will be plenty of Scottish food, dancing, competitions, demonstrations, crafts and much more. Don't forget your kilt. The festival starts Friday night and goes through Sunday. Tickets are $3 a day with kids 6 and under admitted free. The festival will be at River Parks West, 2100 S. Jackson. Bone to Pick. The formula for a successful bar is made up of a few key elements: karaoke, live music, ladies' night(s), and good drink specials. Fishbonz, 6214 S. Larger Than Life. When you think of ceramics and ceramic art, you tend to think of small things like a nice vase, a little statuette or even an ashtray. Brandon Reese's exhibit "Recent Work" on display now at TU's Alexandre Hogue Gallery, 2935 E. 5th St., will force you to leave your expectations at the door. Reese's sculptures are anything but traditional. His pieces are large, so large in fact that many of them are bolted together. This exhibit ends September 19. Call 631-2739 for more information.

Two Man Team. Prepare to be dazzled by the talents of two musicians and one very compelling sound. Pianafiddle, tonight at the Tulsa PAC, 110 E. 2nd St., is the combination of pianist Lynn Wright and violinist and fiddler Adam DeGraff. The duo blends an array of musical genres including blues, jazz, ragtime, Celtic, bluegrass, classical and more. But the most impressive thing about these two is that most of their performances are improvised. You'll literally hear new music as it's being made. You can't ask for more than that. On Her Way Up. Every month we here at UTW put on a little shindig for you called SoundProof at the Tulsa Press Club, 415 S. Boston. We like to remind you that David Cook played this series for up-and-coming Tulsa musicians just last fall. And every month we remind you that you may be seeing the next big thing in music.
