Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Late Night

Frank's Cafe

Frank's Cafe

5451 S. Mingo, 665-6760

Who's got the time to cook a homestyle breakfast? Frank's has options like the two eggs and chicken fried steak breakfast served with hash browns or grits (that's right, real grits), biscuits and gravy or toast. For a sweeter morning, try a homemade cinnamon roll or pancakes served with bacon or sausage.

HOURS: MON-SAT 6AM-2PM

Umberto's

3228 E. 21st St., 712-1999

There's nothing quite like a local pizzeria. Umberto's offers New York-style pies from 10 to 20 inches with toppings you'd expect like sausage, pepperoni, sausage, hamburger, Canadian bacon, black olives, peppers, onions, etc. If you don't want a whole pizza to yourself, you can get it by the slice.

HOURS: MON-THURS 11AM-9PM; FRI-SAT 11AM-10PM.

Agave Mexican Grill and Tequila Bar

8221 E. 61st St., 286-8542

What's the perfect complement to any Mexican meal? Tequila! Agave's got a large selection of specialty margaritas like the Margarita Vallarta, made with Chinaco Blanco tequila, Cointreau, tomato, grapefruit and orange juices. Agave is a Mexican grill, so try the Steak Deluxe for dinner - a grilled ribeye steak topped with spicy Chorizo sausage.

HOURS: SUN-THURS 11AM-10PM; FRI-SAT 11AM-10:30PM

KEO

3524 S. Peoria, 794-8200

Open until 11pm Thursdays through Saturdays, KEO specializes in dishes from Southeast Asia. Everything is prepared fresh daily using locally grown ingredients when possible. Try the grilled yellow fin tuna, glazed with soy ginger and sesame asparagus. Vegetarians can dive into the KEO house stir fry with lemongrass, garlic, peppers, onions, lime leaf, chili and turmeric.

HOURS: MON-WED 11AM-10PM; 11AM-11PM THURS-SAT
