Howling Good Time. Three-time Grammy Award winning Chicano rockers Los Lobos bring their brand of Latin infused rock 'n' roll to downtown's Flytrap Music Hall, 514 E. 2nd St., Thursday. Born in East Los Angeles in 1973, the genre-bending group is known worldwide for incorporating traditional Mexican instruments and styles into American rock 'n' roll, country, R&B and blues. They might be best known to English-speaking audiences for their contributions to the soundtracks of the classic American '80s films Bull Durham and La Bamba. More recently, they contributed to the I'm Not There soundtrack, and released Los Lobos Goes Disney, a collection of familiar favorites from the Disney catalog. Tickets are $25 in advance and $32 at the door. Doors open at 7pm.

Bust a Move. Thankfully for us, the ability to dance isn't a prerequisite for attending "So You Think You Can Dance Tour." The hugely popular show's choreographers have won four Emmy awards, and now, you have a chance to see exactly why in person. The top ten finalists from last season duke it out for Tulsa audiences in what is sure to be an epic dance off at the BOK Center, 200 S. Denver. Contestants battle by dancing in numerous styles including ballroom, Salsa, contemporary and hip-hop, both solo and with partners. Show starts at 7:30pm, and tickets start at $56.

Eve of Horrors. First popularized in our great nation by Irish immigrants fleeing the Great Famine, Halloween has largely lost touch with its Gaelic roots and become a distinctly American holiday. While local ghouls and goblins haunt the homebodies as always by trick-or-treating, adults will have more grown-up opportunities to celebrate city wide with bars and clubs hosting an array of drink specials and costume contests. Downtown Tulsa in particular will "rock" with the Rocky Horror Show, which will be the centerpiece of a Brady District street party, and old favorites like Freaker's Ball. (Check out page 24 for more information.) But the party isn't confined to just downtown, as bars from Brookside to Broken Arrow will be getting in the spirit of season. Not to mention, the parties that go an extra hour for the end of Daylight Savings Time.

Dead Rises Again. The Day of the Dead (also known as El Dia de Los Muertos) is traditionally celebrated in Mexico and some parts of Central and South America in connection with the Catholic holidays of All Saints Day and All Souls Day. Living Arts of Tulsa, 308 S. Kenosha Ave., with support from the Oklahoma Arts Council, Southwood Landscape and Nursery and Hispano de Tulsa, celebrates the season with the 15th annual Dia De Los Muertos Arts Festival at 307 E. Brady, in the heart of downtown. Celebrate art, dance and the memory of the dead with Mariachi music, DJ Dilation, Son del Barrio and Salsa Rhythm Project. Come and celebrate life, cultural diversity and family with Living Arts. $5 for adults, kids 12 and under are free.

Long Way Around. See a personal and spiritual journey unfold with the film The Horse Boy at Circle Cinema, 8 S. Lewis Ave. A couple rides horseback with their son, Rowan, through outer Mongolia as a treatment and healing course for his autism. Based on a book, "The Horse Boy: A Father's Quest to Heal His Son," by Rupert Isaacson, follow a family as they venture through shamanic rituals and a travel adventure on horses to discover the joys of life. Coming Up Pink. In case you didn't get enough pink in your system for October, then Pink Rock 'n' Roll Lounge, 112 E. 18th St., should be able to keep it going for you. Labeled as T-Town's only rock and roll bar and dance club, the club bops and swings till the early hours of the morning (or night, depending on your preference) with indoor and outdoor partying options. There are always specials for ladies or drink specials for guys to keep an even score. Plus, you never know which DJ or celebrity might drop by to spread some love each week. Debate Goes On. As election time winds down, the candidates' debates continue to wind up. See what's on tonight's agenda as all three candidates attend a discussion hosted by the Tulsa Youth Council. In the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 175 E. 2nd St., the candidates will be on task to discuss each one's overall vision for Tulsa, and their plans to meet that vision during their four-year term. Each candidate will have a 20-minute session followed by a Q-and-A session from the public. Admission is free. Contact Nick Doctor, Youth Council Coordinator, at 596-1978 for more information.

Small Artistry. It might be a good idea to head to Gilcrease Museum now before one of their exhibits shrinks and then vanishes. Rather, the American Art in Miniature 2009 only has a few more days on exhibit at Gilcrease Museum, 1400 Gilcrease Museum Road. Artists from across the country have come to present their small-scale artwork for the Tulsa audience. The exhibit features more than 180 artists in paper, painting and sculpture. The exhibit also brings special afternoon sessions until Nov. 7 by artists who will demonstrate their artistic craft.
