Whether it’s the love of the game or the possibility of a good scramble that gets butts in seats, don’t be the one to miss this ice cutting night. A Little Twang. Dust off the old cowboy boots and hat and head over to the Tulsa Performing Arts Center, 110 E. 2nd St. to see the legendary Texas Trio, The Flatlanders as they perform hits from their latest release Hills and Valleys. This album exemplifies the magical mythical synergy of Joe Ely's bad boy rocker, Jimmie Dale Gilmore's mystical cowboy and Butch Handcock's stellar song-crafter. Each of these musicians has achieved successful solo careers but you don't want to miss the chance to see them all together in the John H. Williams Theatre. The show starts at 7:30pm. Beginning of the End. Come seek out the Horcruxes with Harry, Ron and Hermoine in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. The H2O World Tour splashes into Tulsa with Darius Rucker and Justin Moore as the opening acts. Push in as close as possible to get a good look at the guitar slinging, cowboy hat wearing, not to mention award winning Paisley. Sparks are bound to fly when the stage comes to life at 7:30pm. Crossing Lines. Travel back to 1945 as Odeum Theatre Company presents After Miss Julie. This provocative tale of passion and power weaves its way into the Charles E. Norman Theatre, 110 E. 2nd St., and invites mature audiences to dabble in the life of a young privileged Miss Julie as she stumbles into a servants' party. Gobble Gobble. Pilgrims, Indians, cowboys, hippies and everyone in between, that all-American time of Thanksgiving beckons again and invites Tulsans from every imaginable background to set aside a moment to remember all the good things in life. Sure, eat turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes until you burst, but don't forget to give a nod to the greatness of life and for a moment, set aside the thoughts of personal have-nots and perhaps give a little time, energy or food to those less fortunate.
