Great title for this article.

It is an accurate, succinct, summary for what the clowns in the Bartlett & Bynum three-ring circus, led by their ringmaster Simonson have been doing to the city of Tulsa.

Playing games, like Nero played the fiddle while Rome burned.

Kudos on the picture of Bartlett as Napoleon in your print edition (please display it on the website!). Another accurate depiction of how Bartlett's ego driven Neroic and Napoleonic psychological disorders are hurting Tulsa.

It almost never fails that the progeny of political dynasties predictably underwhelm and disappoint with disastrous results. Bartlett and Bynum are no exception to this trend, following along blindly in the proud tradition of their feckless leader George W Bush.

It's sad reflection on Tulsa that a majority of voters chose to suffer the foolishness of this DNA aristocracy gladly, leaving those of us who rejected it at the polls to shake our heads in shame, but with a clear conscience that at least we don't share the blame.

It Takes a Family

Dear Editor:

(In response to "What Do My Kids Really Need?" in the Nov. 18-24 issue of Urban Tulsa Weekly.)

I strongly agree with the main thrust of this article: We should not cater to our children at the expense of our marriage--that's not good for anyone, not even the children. (And, for what it's worth, I'm in the mental health field and see what such behavior does to families.)

I would add that although the article makes several references to God or religion, the overall wisdom of prioritizing one's marriage is not dependent on any theological point of view. It's sound psychology, and consistent with human nature.

Eat Local

Dear Editor:

(In response to "Love 'Em or Lose 'Em" in the Dec. 2-8 issue of Urban Tulsa Weekly)

Amen and I second that. No more truer words have been written. We's just crazy in the restaurant biz, that is a fact, but to see a customer love your food is such a great reward.

As you say, support your local Eateries! More of the tax money stays in your town and it is also great to see us small fries help support our community by providing job opportunities.

Caesar, Science, Salad

Dear Editor:

Love and logic is essence beyond matter. The laws of physics would declare they cannot exist -- yet they do. We are bigger than all the elements that encase us. Believing in the death of love and logic and the spirit within us is to betray the logic of our own existence.

It takes intelligence to create intelligence. It takes intelligence to know intelligence. It will take intelligence to save intelligence from the ignorance of greed in high places and those anti-science fools denying our environmental responsibility to life itself.

Science is not anti-God -- science is anti-ignorance. There is a mystic force in intelligent life that has allowed our species to survive for millions of years and must be attributed to our own instincts and inspirations. This survival gift given to humans is adaptability coupled with the placebo response. When it does work, it is called a miracle.

The discovery of DNA by science proves that every person is unique in the world and like no other being. Millions compounded upon millions of perfect events occurred to create each one of us. It is sad and tragic that there are those that are wasting the magnificence of themselves in foolish pursuits of greed and power.

Evolution does exist in flesh, fiber and self. We are all on a journey of life. We all must known that good things have a purpose and value beyond imagination. Believe in our sacred self. God and good is one pure purpose. Do good and life.
