All Shook Up. Despite claims to the contrary, Elvis is probably not still walking the earth, shaking his hips and strumming his guitar. Well, a young entertainer that happens to look, sound, act and dress just like the famous jailhouse rocker is moving and jamming through the night. Stealing Hearts. A story about a daring conman and a love set aflame during incarceration doesn't come to the big screen everyday. Join Steven Russell (Jim Carrey) as he takes you through a journey based on a true story of discovering the life he wants to live and taking to extreme measures to accomplish it. Upon serving a prison term for fraud, Russell falls in love with a fellow inmate, Phillip Morris (Ewan McGregor) and goes to great lengths to free him from jail and build the perfect life together. Tickle the Ivories. Imagine what Beethoven, one of the greatest musicians in history, could have done with 50 fingers instead of 10. The 5 Browns combine their piano playing skills with the Signature Symphony at the VanTrease Performing Arts Center for Education, 10300 E. 81st St. As the first family of five siblings simultaneously accepted to New York's Julliard School, the Browns are sure to titillate audiences into amazement. Raining Hoops. The ladies are hitting the court for a little brawl against the Rice Owls. Birds are sure to have a hard time flying through the storm of Tulsa University's Lady Hurricanes. Shake You. From the grounds of Stillwater sprung Taddy Porter, a great mix of classic and modern rock. This rock band (with indescribably beautiful hair) travels up to T-Town to take the legendary stage at Cain's Ballroom, 423 N. Main St. Come play your air guitar under the disco ball as Porter and band rock through tunes from their debut album released in June. Red Line Chemistry and Vandevander opens for this perfectly blended band of Okies. Doors open at 7pm and the stage lights get hot at 8pm. Advanced tickets are $12 and same-day tickets are $15.
