Aging Wisdom
(In response to "The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Republican Galaxy" in the Feb. 24-March 2 issue of Urban Tulsa Weekly)
I just had to comment on the article that I find just plain odd. I just can't get over the fact that you can still write such dribble after all the things that have happened in the last 10 years. I am not defending the actions of the "Ruling Class" that being Democrats as well as Republics. But I was reading something here that caught my eye at lunch and I just had to comment on it.
You talk about "Less than a century ago, Oklahoma was known as a hotbed of the populist-progressive movement, embracing politics so radical, so anti-corporate, so anti-establishment, so pro-little guy that it's almost incomprehensible when compared to 2011."
You know kiddo there has to be jobs to enable the "little guy" to sell his wares. So who is going to employ the "little guys" neighbors and friends so they can have money to buy from the "little guy"? It is corporations. Geez stop watching TV for your education and broaden your horizons. Look at what is happening in the country. The reason the mean ole conservatives are trying to reign in the spending is so you will have money to buy from the little guy.
Right now they are screaming that the other side wants to shut down the government. LOL. So freaking what? Nothing is going to stop. Your mail will continue and your check from the nanny state will come. Being a person who stupidly voted for that ignoramus Carter I have lived a few years and been thru a few government shutdowns and it was nothing.
The blowhards on the other side yell and scream about everything they themselves just did a few months ago. The democrats crack me up. Every time they open their mouths I laugh. One thing I am grateful for is that I woke up out of my liberal stupor and realized I have a brain of my own. I don't need a leftist professor or any other self-professed genius to tell me what is right and what is wrong.
You have to have jobs and you can't tax people to death. I am guessing a lot of the people who read this rag are fairly young and have not lived. My parents consider me their baby to this day but they would have been very very unhappy to see me still expecting them to support me in any way at 27. A 27 year old is too old to be on their folks' health insurance. I want my life back the way it was before these ignorant self-professed geniuses took over our schools and government. See I remember what it was like seeing the pictures of Russians and other people of the Eastern block without enough food and miserable. Socialism doesn't work. Marxism doesn't work. If you want that then go to freaking Venezuela or Cuba.

Doom and Gloom
There are 29 Republican Governors and they have a mandate from their corporate masters. Kill the unions, take over the schools, fire all the teachers that will not preach the Evangelical doctrines, outlaw all other religious teachers, stop taxes on businesses, kill all safety nets for the poor and divert that money into the coffers of the wealthiest 2 percent in America, buy all future elections with foreign corporation secret monies, make all businesses belong to our chamber of commerce, control all the information available to the people, and take over the internet because it allows unapproved information.
Put states rights above the Constitution, destroy the federal armies and transfer all power to state governors control. Destroy civil rights and women's rights, make them subjective to their husbands and the church leaders. Take guns away from the peasants putting guns only in the hands of the state militias and the state police.

The inquisition is back and democracy was lost without a shot. Republicanism is fascism and always has been -- it is pure evil. Evil kills its enemies -- they have no prophet but profit and power. Their only god is the American dollar. They are hypocrites, liars and thieves -- parasites that feed off the workers, the gullible and ignorant.
Theocracy is never Democracy -- Americans have lost the war. The slavers won -- the worst is coming!
Hate is not a gift from God -- love is. The right to judge others is not a gift from God -- tolerance is. Arrogance is not a gift from God -- humility is. Greed is not a gift from God -- benevolence is. Hardness towards the lowly is not a gift from God -- kindness is. War is not a gift of God -- peace is. Lies are not from God -- truth is. Anger is not a gift from God -- understanding is. Ignorance is not a gift of God -- wisdom is. Believing that God is no longer teaching is pure ignorance. God lives in the good here and now, fear is not from God -- courage is. Idolatry and rituals are not worship -- goodness is.
Preaching God in public places is not God's way. All those doing evil things and calling it good, have no reward. In Proverbs 6:16-19, God does list hateful things for a reference of unacceptable behavior: These six things doth the Lord hate: yea seven are an abomination to him: a proud look, a lying tongue and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that deviseth wick imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
We are all commanded to be our brothers keepers -- not judges of them. It is impossible to be a conservative politician and a servant of Jesus and God. Sally Kern is wrong as is all Republicans, Libertarians and Birchers -- it's in the Book!

Inspirational Blues
"Baptist Bob" Kerr, our state's greatest U.S. Senator was half-right when, in 1962, he predicted, "Oklahoma will become a Republican state because of the Baptist Church and The Oklahoman."
Preachers tell their congregations to "vote righteously" against Democrats, like me, who believe a women's right to choose an abortion is between her and her doctor -- not the state.
The Oklahoman, the state's leading newspaper, has become a partisan bully, tarring and feathering Democrats who don't vote with Republicans.
The church and newspaper had help from Democrats in burying our party in the 2010 elections, leaving the state without a statewide Democrat officeholder and Democrats with a minority position in the State Legislature.
Here is a list of Democratic turncoats:
1. Former Democratic Senator David Boren and son, Democratic Congressman Dan Boren. They're DINOs (Democrats in name only) who dance with fat cats.
2. Former Democratic State House kingpin, Cleta Deatherage, who married banker Dale Mitchell and became a conservative Republican bigwig in Washington, D.C.
3. Former Democratic Congressman Wes Watkins ran for Governor as an independent in 1994. He split the Democrats and elected Republican Frank Keating Governor over Democrat Jack Mildren.
4. Former OU football coach Barry Switzer, a Democrat, refused to run for Senator or Governor, fearing the wrath of The Oklahoman.
5. Former Governor Brad Henry, a Democrat, acted like a Republican, doubling college tuition and permitting corporations to escape their responsibility to fully compensate the injured when they are negligent.
