Stylin' Funds. Boomtown Tees is teaming up with Tulsa Area United Way to put on a T-shirt design contest that will raise funds and awareness for the nonprofit. The winner will have their T-shirt design sold at Boomtown Tees.
The Tulsa Area United Way is a local organization that works to unite people and resources to improve lives and build a stronger community. The T-shirt competition will benefit the group's 61 partner agencies, and will be judged by local entities including Kristin Dickerson of KTUL-TV News Channel 8, Chuck Stikl of KMYZ-FM Z-104.5 The Edge, local writer and artist James Farr, Boomtown Tees designer Eddie Turner, and local tattoo artist and muralist Tony Carrera.
Finalists will receive prizes from Back Alley Blues and BBQ, Boomtown Tees and Joe Momma's Pizza, while the winner will receive a one-year subscription to This Land Press; one free shirt of their choice from Boomtown Tees, Joe Momma's and Back Alley Blues & BBQ; 10 percent off a custom order at Boomtown Tees; Recognition on TAUW and Boomtown's websites and social media sites as well as TAUW's e-newsletter.
