An Okie Welcome. L'Occitane en Provence, an international retailer of skin care, fragrance and hair care products, will open in Utica Square this fall.
Founded in 1976 and based in Manosque, France, L'Occitane is sold in over 85 countries worldwide. With products inspired by Provencal traditions, L'Occitane uses only high quality, natural ingredients. L'Occitane is a socially responsible company, committed to limiting the impact of its actions and products on the environment. This is the first L'Occitane boutique in Oklahoma.
L'Occitane will open in early fall, located in the space previously occupied by Crabtree & Evelyn, between R. Lockwood and Coach.
Lightning Strikes Twice. Local entrepreneur Blake Ewing announced his latest project, Archer Market, a downtown grocery store and café Aug. 10 at The Detroit Lofts, the site of the new market.

The new market will offer basic staples including fresh local produce, a deli, beverages, dry and refrigerated food items and more. The kitchen will prepare dinners and full service catering.
Archer Market will occupy the southeast corner of the Snyders' Detroit Lofts building located at 307 E. Archer Ave. The market will open in October.
Cam's Grocery, owned by Tulsan Dan Cameron, also announced it will open its first location in downtown Tulsa later this year. Cam's is an independent natural foods grocery and café.
Cam's is in position to open by the holidays. The store will feature local, natural and organic products including locally sourced produce, meats & cheeses. Cam's will also feature a buyers' club & home deliveries.
Cam's Café will include a newsstand along with locally roasted coffees, breakfast, lunch & dinner, a craft juicery, grab-n-go and Oklahoma beers and wines by the glass. Visit camsgrocery.com for more information.
Show 'Em Your Stuff. Verizon Wireless will host the Wireless Technology Innovation Awards, sponsored by Motorola, on Nov. 2 to honor Oklahoma businesses and community organizations at the Skirvin Hilton in Oklahoma City.
Two eligible companies, non-profit groups or other institutions will be awarded with a $10,000 cash prize by demonstrating their use of Verizon Wireless mobile technology to truly innovative operations or service to their customers.
Verizon business customers will be required to share their initial workplace challenges and exhibit how Verizon-solutions were implemented to address those hurdles in unique and innovative ways. Participants will also need to explain the benefits of their implementation and how using Verizon solutions has positively effected their business.
Entries for the "Wireless Technology Innovation Awards" are due by Sept. 16, and will be evaluated by Verizon Wireless executives and local celebrity judges. For more information on the contest and to enter, visit vzwinnovationawards.com.
