Gone In A Flash. Do a little skirt chasing at Oklahoma's Scottish Festival, Sep.16-17. Chasing Skirts, a 5K charity run, is a fun time for all as the woman get a three minute head start and the men get to, literally, chase the skirts! After the run, re-energize during the whiskey tasting and get carried away with a presentation by Robert Sickler who would love to help you get the most out of your whiskey. Dancing and drums provided by over 30 clans from around the world will join in the festivities, located at the River West Festival Park, 2100 S. Pink Power. Take up the colors of hope and healing at this year's Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Fight the good fight at ONEOK Field, 201 N. Elgin Ave., from 8-11:30am. There is a pace and a race for everyone, starting with the timed 5K run, followed by the untimed 5K. If you're feeling like a slower scenic route may be more your pace enjoy a scenic run/walk through downtown with the 1 mile fun run. ¡Ay-Ay-Ay! Grab your sombrero and bring the whole family out for music, art, contests, and authentic Hispanic cuisine at the Hispanic Fest, Sept. 16-18. Let the kids soap up while they check out Pop! The Art and Science of Bubbles exhibit provided by the Tulsa Children's Museum. Don't forget the pooch, man's best friend is even celebrating at the festivals pet costume contest.
