Cutting Class. Paul Mitchell Schools announced the opening of their newest school, Paul Mitchell The School -- Tulsa. The school owners, John Paul Mitchell Systems CEO John Paul DeJoria and Dean of Paul Mitchell Schools Winn Claybaugh, will be on hand along with Mayor Dewey Bartlett, several city councilors, and others to cut the red ribbon at the grand opening festivities on Monday, Nov. 7.
The 13,000-square-foot building was designed to train as many as 300 students at a time. Like all Paul Mitchell Schools, the Tulsa location will work and educate exclusively with Paul Mitchell products, and instructors and students will follow an aggressive, ongoing educational and cultural development program.
Historic Eats. Downtown Tulsa's iconic Philtower building will soon house Edward Delk's, a casual dining bar and restaurant. Groundbreaking is under-way with a tentative opening expected in mid-December.
Edward Delk's promises guests an eclectic and affordable menu in a comfortable setting. Featured items include Flat Bread Pizza, Chili Rubbed Shrimp, and Beer-Braised Short Ribs Panini. Edward Delk's will offer an assortment of domestic and imported beer, wine and a variety of artisan cocktails.
The restaurant is owned by local entrepreneurs Eric Richards and Hunt Hawkins. The restaurant is named after Edward Buehler Delk, the famous architect who designed the Philtower in 1927.
Edward Delk's will be located on the first floor of the Philtower, 427 S. Boston Ave.
