Bonus Tracks

The weekend is here and the New Year is upon us. You can check out a full listing of what NYE has to offer in our separate coverage, but here are the highlights to lead you into the weekend and get you started.

Thursday, Dec. 29

This week proves to be more sleepy than most, but you can still settle in with Brandon Clark doing a solo acoustic set at Fat Daddy's in South Tulsa or get your rock fix with Able the Allies at Treehouse.

Friday, Dec. 30

This weekend is made for celebrating, so you might as well start early with Brandon Clark's Birthday Bash at Mercury Lounge. BCB shares the stage with Dead End Drifters and Chad Sullins & the Last Call Coalition, so you know it will be a crazy night at the corner of 18th and Boston. Also worth checking out, Copy Copy reemerges for its first show since Jan. 1, 2010 with a gig at Soundpony which includes Only The Bugman. Finally, if you've been missing your '80's fix, Revelation (the Journey Tribute band) takes the stage at Mystic River Lounge (River Spirit Casino) for the first of a two night stand playing all of the old hits.

Sunday, Jan. 1

Kick off the New Year right by carrying on a tradition or starting a new one. Brandon Clark holds court with his solo acoustic gig every Sunday night, including a few guests and the weekly "drunken musical chairs." Also on Sundays, Paul Benjaman hosts his weekly gig, which always sees a handful of friends sit in and swap songs.
