We're all running a little ragged after SXSW, a big St. Pat's weekend and all the bands that cycled through town on their way home after the big showcase south of the Red River. Even so, we've got another busy week ahead of us, including the busiest Friday night we've seen in a long time. Thursday, March 22

Keaton Simons stops in Tulsa this week for a show at Hunt Club which begins at 9pm with only a $5 cover. Meanwhile, And There Stand Empires and Foreign Home (formerly Motive for Movement) join forces for a great free show at The Treehouse that starts at 10pm.

Friday, March 23

You'll have to pick wisely tonight as we've got three major shows in town as well as the club gigs. If you're downtown, NeedToBreathe headlines Brady Theater with Ben Rector opening for the pop/rock crowd while Cody Canada & the Departed and Shooter Jennings co-headline with Uncle Lucius opening at Cain's Ballroom for the country and Red Dirt audience. It only gets bigger from there as Trans-Siberian Orchestra brings Beethoven's Last Night to The Joint for a non-Christmas orchestral rock blowout and one of the biggest productions you'll ever see in a theater type venue. Tommy James and the Shondells also swing through town for a show at River Spirit Event Center for the classic rock and casino crowd. Meanwhile, Mercury Lounge stays true to its roots with Bleu Edmondson rocking the house.

Saturday, March 24

Alison Krauss & Union Station headline The Brady with Jerry Douglas opening for a night of great songs and even better musicianship. On the local front, Dante & the Hawks play Hunt Club, New Morning kicks the evening off right with an early set at Agora Coffeehouse and Lizard Police rock the Soundpony with ManHammer. And if you're just in the mood to party, stop in at Harvard Sports Bar to throw down with Amniotic Band and a few of your favorite cover tunes.

The rest of the week is fairly quiet unless you've got tickets to the sold out Young the Giant show with Grouplove on Tuesday night or you're ready to indulge your schlock-rock and metal cravings with GWAR on Wednesday, March 28. Both shows are at Cain's Ballroom and begin at 8pm.
