Polynesian Party. Break out your coconut bra and lei for the last party of the summer at The Canebrake, 33241 E. 732nd Rd. Wagoner, for a Luau and Pig Roast. Enjoy drink specials, a buffet of some Polynesian piggy and shake your grass skirts to some live music on the patio. The cost is $50 per partygoer and they also have retreat rooms and cottages available. 6-9pm.

Harajuku Hysteria Experience an Anime lover's paradise. Tokyo in Tulsa is back for another year of celebrating Japanese culture, gaming, pop culture and of course: anime. Slated to be the biggest TnT yet, this year's guest speakers include Wendy Lee and J. Michael Tatum, and the shopping, cosplay, panels, dance parties and all kinds of other weird stuff will fill the days. The convention runs from July 20-22 at the Tulsa Convention Center, 100 Civic Center, with select events at the Double Tree, 616 W. 7th St.

Trade Me. If you've ever pined for your neighbor's power tool, craved a slice of one's apple pie or just wanted to invite a few people over for bridge, the Brady Heights Neighborhood and Historic District have got you covered. The Shareable Neighborhood Kick-Off Jubilee offers a virtual sign-up in which neighbors can request and offer anything from an unwanted chair to a vehicle or even their time, in an attempt to reduce the amount of economic and environmental waste. The party starts at 5pm at the Brady Heights Community Garden, 1146 N. Cheyenne Ave.

Cry Out. Spend a summer's day by the river, hear some awesome bands and, more importantly, rally up and raise funds for the Emergency Infant Services of Tulsa at Melodies with a Mission at Riverparks, 41st and Riverside. Starting at 3pm you can hear Angie Cockrell, GK Soul, Reflejos Flamencos, Freewater, Sara Fitch, The Outset and more. Did we mention there will be face painting too? A portion of all CD sales will go to EIS.

Anything Your Harp Desires. The Midwest Harp Festival will be making its way to Oral Roberts University, 7777 S. Lewis Ave. for its 13th year of harp-filled fun. Attendants will have the chance to partake in ice breakers and meet other like-minded harpists as well as partake of a banquet, competitions, concert nights for teens and open jam sessions. Don't have a harp? Don't worry, the festival will have harps for rent for anyone who can't bring theirs. The festival lasts from July 22 through July 28.

La Boehme Literature.

From Van Gogh to Milton, to Lennon and McCartney, author Christopher Zara dives headfirst into the lives of these insane creative types to pinpoint the makings of the celebrated suffering artist in his latest homage to pop culture. Zara will be discussing Tortured Artists with Booksmart Tulsa at the Philbrook Museum, 2727 S. Rockford Rd., from 6-8:30pm.

Catching Up. See the man behind the movie Catch Me If You Can, Frank Abagnale, who posed as a pilot, doctor and attorney while cashing $2.5 million all before the age of 21. Intrigued yet? Since then, Abagnale has become instrumental in the prevention of forgery and embezzlement, working with the FBI for more than 35 years. Abagnale will speak at the Second Chance Scholarship Dinner at the DoubleTree, 6110 S. Yale Ave., to raise funds for TCC's Corrections Education Program.

Living Local. Mid-season, one of the markets has decided to up the ante: The Pearl Farmers' Market, while continuing to sell organically grown and cultivated goodies from the Sub-Urban zone, from yummy Porter peaches to Okie Alchemy Craft Juices and Teas, is now also offering every Thursday free Lululemon Community Yoga Classes for all levels beginning at 6pm and various forms of live entertainment.
