Shocking: Beyond Your Imagination! Here's your chance to see Manos: The Hands of Fate (1966), generally considered one of the worst films ever made. Luckily, the stars of Mystery Science Theater 3000 will be talking incessantly through the film, riffing it live to two theatres in the metro: Cinemark Tulsa, 10802 E. 71st St., and Cinemark Broken Arrow, 1801 E. Hillside Dr., Broken Arrow. Showings at both locations begin at 7pm.

Getting Together. Step out tonight to the ORU Mabee Center, 7777 S. Lewis Ave., where the Intertribal Indian Club of Tulsa is hosting the 35th annual Pow Wow of Champions. Three days of traditional Native American dance, contests and arts and crafts begin tonight and continue through Sunday. Tickets cost $7. According to the IIC's website, no alcohol or firearms are permitted.

They're Back. After a 30 year hiatus, hometown rockers The Ushers reunite tonight at their (new) old haunt, The Blue Rose Café, 1924 Riverside Dr., for an anniversary concert and party, with special guest Dave Barber opening at 7pm. The hottest band west of London burns it at 8:15pm, but get there plenty early -- the show is free and they're not taking reservations. T-shirts will be available for $20.

Just Breathe. If wallowing on Saturday night in the blueness of your old lady leaving you didn't do the trick (see Saturday 8.18 above), you might try A New Look at Meditation on Sunday afternoon. Acquire a fresh perspective at the LaFortune Community Center, 5202 S. Hudson Ave., beginning at 1:30pm. Open to all colors (blue or otherwise).

For Different Folks. Just because it's the beginning of the week doesn't mean you have to be all business. This Monday cut your work ethic some slack and allow your mind to unwind by feasting your eyes on the "Different Strokes" of artist Marty Olson. His newest exhibit is displayed at the PAC Gallery located in Tulsa Performing Arts Center, 110 E. 2nd St. The event is free and open to all.

Not Square. A lot is happening in Sand Springs these days, especially in this, their centennial, year. Prime time to experience the city for yourself, dive into the Third Tuesday Triangle concert series at the Charles Page Triangle, 4 E. Broadway St. Don't turn a deaf ear. Come out and bring the family to this last show of the season featuring the Tyler Spradlin Band and many other Tulsa and Sand Springs classics. Bring a blanket and kick back for an evening of easy listening, starting at 6pm.

Novel Idea. Entertainment is in no small supply this week as Bixby's own A-Book-A-Month Discussion Group for Adults reviews Melanie Benjamin's The Autobiography of Mrs. Tom Thumb. The subject may be small in stature, but the discussion will have you reaching for new heights this Wednesday at the Bixby Library located at 20 E. Breckenridge Ave., Bixby. The event goes from 2-3pm and is free.
