Hip to Be Square. Why not spend one of the last days of 2012 filling your sophistication quota? Max Weber and the Figure is on exhibit at the Philbrook Museum of Art, 2727 S. Rockford Road Similar in style to Picasso, Weber's obsession with the human figure is filtered many times over through the uber-geometric sieve of the square, making soft bodies freshly abrasive. There's plenty of time to ponder perspective, as the museum is open from 10am-8pm.
Pony Up. Get off your high horse and head to the Holiday Circuit at the Ford Truck Arena, Expo Square, 4145 E. 21st St. Plenty to see, there will be a variety of competing events and awards, including the Circuit Award, High Point Amateur Roper Award, and the All-Around Youth Award. Not much is free around the holidays, but this event is, with doors opening at 8am. Visit tulsaholidaycircuit.com for more information.

American Gramophone. Created in the 1970s, Chip Davis would never have guessed that along with the cockroach his Mannheim Steamroller would have survived even the Mayan apocalypse. They perform at 8pm at the Tulsa PAC, 110 E 2nd St., in the Chapman Music Hall.

Brilliant. We're not talking IQ here, but you will feel smarter after taking your friends and family to Muskogee for the Garden of Lights Festival in Honor Heights Park, 837 E. Okmulgee St. Bask in the oohs and ahhs of your comrades as they just can't get enough of the holiday sparkle. With a full one million lights there will be lots of twinkling eyes and bright smiles on this excursion.
Jump'n'Jive. Not-Quite-Modern Mayhem. There will be plenty of it, though the Dowager Countess would undoubtedly deem thoroughly vulgar at the Downton Abbey Season 3 Premiere. The period piece will debut at the Circle Cinema, 10 S. Lewis at 5:30pm. The Great War may be over, but the excitement is just beginning.
Layup. At least that's what the home team is hoping to do as the TU Women's Basketball faces off against the ladies of Langston University. It's going to be an exciting matchup as Okies take on Okies. The action goes down at the Reynolds Center on the University of Tulsa Campus, 800 S. Tucker Drive Game begins at 7pm.
