Ron du Bois I wished I lived in your fairy tale. There is not one single country that health care is better than ours. You need to read more. It takes months to years to see a doctor and get surgery/medicine. At least hear you have free or lost cost clinics and you cannot be turned away from the ER. You only need to look at Cuba and see how bad nationlized healthcare is and I mean the real Cuba not the sugar-coated Michael Moore crap.
Meredith Root, most teachers in schools/colleges are liberals. Unfortunately there are very few conservatives or ones that can speak up. The point is teachers should leave their viewpoints at home and teach non-partisan. It is mostly "liberals" that forget that. Oh yeah, liberals are for freedom of speech UNLESS what you have to say is a different viewpoint than thiers.

The MAIN reason is most people can't pay $200 for a pair of jeans or $100 for a top. Even when gas and food were less expensive most people would not pay that. I live in a dual income household no kids with income over six figures and still couldn't pay those prices.
Most shoppers love bargains and trendy stuff just goes out of style too fast to spend too much money on it.
