As a former foster parent for seven years, don't believe all of this garbage about letting you adopt a child. The DHS wants you to care for the child and when you have seen enough, the natural parent or parents have done enough, and you want to change the childs life, they will play with your heart and they are so dead set on putting these children back with blood kin, you will get old sometimes before the DHS decides little Johnny needs out of that environment. So in closing don't believe everything until; you talk to other foster parents that have had experiences with dhs, the private adoption is the way to go, just being honest. Look out for the DHS burocracy
