I agree with Mr. Bates but his article is slightly inaccurate. The Board of Education of Tulsa Technology Center is the authorizing board that approved TTC's tax increase request and bond issue. The 7 board members that rule over TTC also have the fiscal authority over the tax base of TCC....not the Board of Regents. And the TTC Board approves anything Tom MeKeon brings to them. They did not even question why a year after giving away tuition, TCC needs money to grow.
