I've been very disturbed by the fact that we spent so much on a need stadium downtown while the nearby streets are filled with homeless people wondering around looking for meals. I understand now that our local christian population is too concerned with arguing about rock bands and presenting paragraphs from the bible out of context to worry about their fellow Tulsans lol. Wait....I feel bad about bashing the big stadium now....I have a perfect use for it....all we need are some lions...big hungry lions.

Since moving to Tulsa three years ago I've heard nothing but complaints about our local government. Its not that I'm not empathetic toward the plights of local businesses in regard to this new tax scam. But I am amazed that no one saw this coming. Where did you think the money was coming from, not from the people who will profit from the project for God's sake. The oldest rule in journalism is this: when something is afoul you simple follow the money to find the guilty parties. As a people we really only get upset when something effects us directly. Complaining about the symptoms does not make the problem go away. What we need are local journalists willing follow the money. There is no doubt of enough corruption and dirty-dealing going on in this ridiculous stadium to fill several books. I'd also like to add a question: Am Ithe only person living in Tulsa who's greatly disturbed by the fact that we're spending a King's ransom to build an arena while a block away homeless people are wondering around? Maybe we should use some of that money to improve the lives of our dispossessed citizens...that would be real economic reform. I suppose it will be less expensive and make for better press if Mayor Taylor just has the Police Department discreetly round them up and shoot them in middle of the night.
