Thank you, thank you, thank you for your story. As a person working in retail, thank you. I stepped down from a high-power career to work "normal hours" only to find what horrid manners people have. On top of it, customers assume sales clerks have no brains or feelings. I assure you, we do. Many of my associates (and myself) have college degrees and are licensed attorneys, CPAs, counselors, etc. and work in the retail field for love of the product/service. Even if we didn't have these credentials, we would deserve no less full respect.

I wanted to post your article in every corner of our store. If people could only see how ridiculous they can be.....
