Re: Fill 'er Up?  7/31/2008 - 1:55pm
It takes 6-8 bushels of corn to make one gallon of ethanol and 27% more fossil fuel to produce ethanol than regular fuel. Ethanol drops your mileage 22% in most studies and also causes mechanical problems for your car because it eats the seals. With all the people starving in the world why are we taking a food source and fuel prices are going have not been cut by ethanol in the fuel because my 100% gas station is charging less than QT most of the time.

This greed is just getting crazy. 138 billion per quarter profit should be illegal for these energy companies. Why are we just bending over and taking this!? Are people so attached to their pop, donuts, lattes and hotdogs from Quick Trip they cannot see to go to a store that sells proper fuel?

One of the tv stations in tulsa had a list of ethanol free gas stations in the tulsa and surrounding areas a few days ago. I think it was chanel 6 or 8.

Doesnt QT still guarantee their gas as to not cause trouble for peoples cars? Maybe if people suied them enough times they would stick up for the consumer more. Or did they take that guarantee away when they knew ethanol would eat our cars up from the inside out?
