Fab Lab Tulsa is not on North Lewis. It's on South Lewis, in the heart of the Kendall-Whittier neighborhood. I hope the author of the story isn't one of those Southies who believe that anything north of 31st is "north" Tulsa.

By the way, the Tulsa Channels development was NEVER on any ballot. That was purely a private project that was proposed by private developers. There WAS a river development package that was put to a vote in 2006 (see Our River Yes), but it was in no way related to Tulsa Channels. GKFF was prepared to donate hundreds of millions of dollars to develop the river if Tulsa County voters approved a bond package to pay for the rest. Residents in the City of Tulsa voted in favor of it, with those living nearest the river approving of it in higher numbers. Voters in Owasso, Broken Arrow and other outlying areas not as directly impacted by river development overwhelmingly disapproved, and ultimately outnumbered the 'yes' votes in the City of Tulsa. There are so many corrections that need to be made in this article, it'll take up a whole page in the next issue.

Yet another interesting topic trashed by poor writing and false statements. And what's with attacking GKFF? They're not building this to improve their image, as you suggest, and George Kaiser was never found to have done anything improper with regard to Solyndra. Plus, this park has been in the works for years; not in response to negative PR. Seriously, start checking your facts and spelling.

I love the subject of this article. Downtown has long been a passion of mine. That said, this article is terribly written. Are there no editors at UTW? Misspelled words like "its", run-on sentences, misplaced modifiers, and absent punctuation and spacing have run amok in this article. Get an editor or hire better writers.
