To Mr. Scott, Tulsa Regardless of your personal take on extremism or dealing with it, torture is ILLEGAL. We are signed to 3 different international treatises which delineate that torture is illegal and even goes so far as to define forms of torture. So, yes, those who approved the use of torture are war criminals. If anyone was doing it to our men and women you'd be up in arms. That's called a double-standard. As Americans we are supposed to set the moral standard for the rest. Do as I say not as I do does not make a good moral standard. And for your opinion that it worked, sorry buddy, waterboarding and other forms of torture have been proven in numerous cases to only produce propaganda, not vital information. But I guess research isn't your bag. Not taking the high moral ground doesn't help us win against terrorism, it makes us terrorists. "They started it" may work in 2nd grade, but it doesn't work in the adult world.
