With all due love and respect, your argument is self-refuting. I'll use two of your quotes to illustrate what im saying:

- "If you believe (as I do) that life begins at conception, then the first cellular division after a sperm fertilizes the ovum represents human life every bit as much as you and me."

- "In my view women have--and ought to continue to have--the right to murder their unborn babies."

What I hear you saying is that a fetus is just as viable as a ten year old; and you think its ok to kill the fetus (for practical reasons). If thats true, then you must agree its ok to kill 10 yr olds for practical reasons, right? And if children, adults too??

I certainly hope youre answer is no - I dont think you would be ok with someone murdering a relative of yours or someone close to you in the name of practicality or convenience.

Not sayin that to be a jerk, just open-minded. Your thoughts are welcome :)
