How can you brand the epicenter of the inverted frontier. Not much more than a century ago people were making a u-turn and coming here from all directions.
Lot's changed since the Jobes hobbled through town on the old Mother Road. Lots of em reversing course and heading back having learned the old lesson of over blown expectations and underwhelming results.
I'm guessing if Stienbeck were penning a novel on this one he could call it Gripes of Saps. That's it my friends and I am outta here.
