A few years ago I engaged in a real estate business deal that broker, Mr. Bill Leighty was involved with. I left the business deal feeling like Mr. Leighty was as fair and honest a person as I have ever met in my entire life. I have recommended him as a real estate broker ever since. His word about Dewey Bartlett is good enough for me. T. Jones Tulsa

The local chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police is not endorsing any candidate for the position of Tulsa City Councilor, or Mayor. Probably the best way to get the feel for the views of Tulsa Officers, is to ask them directly in non-emergency situations.I do not personally know of any Officers supporting former Councilor Barnes.

I would certainly love to hear what Professor Scott Elsworth would comment about the Tulsa taxpayers footing the bill for the cost of settling the racial dicrimiantion lawsuit filed against the city by black police officers. At last count, the cost is right at $6 million dollars of taxpayer funds, with a large portion going to attorney's fees. The estimated cost to the city to defend this lawsuit is placed at $2 million dollars in legal fees alone. Six million dollars which could have gone to social services, street repairs, needed infrastructure improvments in north Tulsa, daycare needs, and helping the needy in general. Millions in critically needed funding gone in a legal fight that accomplished,....what exactly? I hope the Professor will give the readers his thoughts.
