Looks like Oklahoma could be headed for disaster. I'm really tired of the conservatives trying to shift economic burdens onto the middle class. How long will the shrinking middle class put up with this?

It bothers me that Christians in Oklahoma feel like they always have to pull their religion out and rub it in others faces. Stick a huge cross by the road, make us stop for their prayers, erect religious monuments on public grounds, etc. I wouldn't mind it so much if they were more humble about it but their aggressiveness just makes me oppose them all the more.

PistolPete, Hey, from your photo you look just like me! And, judging from your nom de plume you were an OSU grad too! But I guess that's where our similarities end. I found your pithy retort thought-provoking - but then after more careful consideration I decided reason has more appeal after all. Say, have you tried arugula?

Mary Fallin is a good person I think. I used to work with her on a number of projects and I think she's smart enough. But what concerns me is the far right-wing agenda she gives lip service to. I don't know whether she says all those things because she really believes it or because it's expected in Oklahoma? She seems too intelligent to buy all the Republican crap but who knows? As much as I like her I can't vote for her for fear she really is a rightwing nutcase.

You don't give Obama the credit he deserves. I think he has done a good job with the resources we gave him - a hair-thin Democratic supermajority, a Republican minority hell-bent on obstructing everything in the Senate, and a partisan mediascape. Oh, and a gloriously uninformed populace that easily forgets who drove the car off the road in the first place. What we need, is a larger Democratic majority in the Senate that can overcome the Republicans sabotage. I thought your commentary was in need of some of these perspective, a dash of critical thinking, and some civility. I have been impressed with Obama. Finally, a reasonable person in the White House! How could any educated person try to compare Sarah Palin to Barack Obama?
