Let me clarify. Most of the trash you have picked up is not even recycled here, but is compressed and then sent to China where THEY do all of the recycling. We only pick it up. Again I hope this is somehow sinking in to your heads that this isn't all that much better than throwing it in a landfill.

I'm all for recycling, but I just wanted to make sure everyone knows that almost all of the trash that gets recycled is SHIPPED to China to make goods that are then sold back to the U.S. That's actually much worse for the environment in terms of transportation costs and emissions. So until the trash is recycled mostly in the U.S., we're not really accomplishing anything. Just a footnote.
