October 26, 2010 Letter to the Editor: One of Tulsa's City Councilors has decided he hasn't screwed up our city enough, now he is trying to spread his incompetence and his belligerent attitude to our judiciary. Enough is enough. Afraid to run on his record as a failed member of our paralyzed city council, John Eagleton is posting billboards that mislead the public into thinking he is already a district judge. Eagleton is not now and has never been a judge. Eagleton's lie is indicative of his blatant disrespect for the people of Tulsa and Pawnee counties. By trying to hide his own record and rewrite his own history, he has made a mockery of the legal profession and our democratic process. This sort of behavior deserves more than just a slap on the wrist. I challenge Councilor Eagleton to issue a public apology. Misleading the public in an election is a disgrace. Eagleton should be ashamed. I for one will be voting for the proven choice, District Judge Linda Morrissey (yes, she actually is a judge) on Nov 2. Sincerely, Lori Fisher
