As I mentioned bruschetta is the bread, not the tomato concassee, so there IS no classic preparation for the relish. There were most definitely onions in ours, sorry.
And I do agree that The Grille is not a fine dining establishment. Check out the huge sign to the right of the front door the next time you are there. One of the 5 or 6 things that it lists in it's self-description is,...Fine dining!
As I am sure you know being a chef yourself, one person's positive is another person's negative.
I actually gave them high marks for all the other aspects of the place. Check the print version for the ratings.
